Meet TANIA

Meet TANIA! TANIA was rescued by Save Korean Dogs from the Tobong Dog Slaughterhouse on June 29, 2022, narrowly escaping a brutal and tragic fate. She arrived in the United States on November 2, 2023, and is now safe at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine. Health & Background ✅ Spayed ✅ Rabies and core vaccinations up to date ✅ Heartworm and tick tested negative ✅ On monthly preventatives ✅ De-wormed ✅ Microchipped ⚖️ Approximately 45 pounds Estimated date of birth: January 21, 2021 Jindo mix — the Jindo is a nationally treasured breed in South Korea TANIA’s Personality Sweet, gentle, and shy girl Came to the US with her sister Tiara, who sadly passed away in January 2025 Has since transferred her affection and trust to Snowball, a handsome young German Shepherd who can also be a little nervous — they have become best friends, sleeping, playing, and giving each other confidence ‍♀️ When first out on leash, she walks in circles out of nervousness but settles into a nice walk when with Snowball or after some time Desperate for affection — loves attention and, once she trusts you, will seek out love in a home environment When stroked, she gives gentle hand licks, almost as if thanking for the attention — incredibly sweet Has gained confidence since becoming best buddies with Snowball Great with other dogs and cats at the rescue Life After Loss TANIA arrived in the US alongside her sister Tiara, who sadly passed away in January 2025 Since then, TANIA has formed a close bond with Snowball, a young German Shepherd who shares her sensitive nature The two have become inseparable — sleeping, playing, and exploring together, offering one another reassurance and confidence While TANIA can be adopted on her own, we would love to see her and Snowball adopted together into a loving home that understands their special connection What TANIA Needs ⏳ A patient, committed family willing to go slow and allow her the time she needs to adjust High-quality food, enrichment toys, and opportunities for calm exploration Routine veterinary care and wellness checks A quiet, loving environment with structured guidance and encouragement Adoption Details Adoption Fee: $350 Location: Sebec, Maine Complete and submit the adoption application Once approved, schedule an appointment to meet TANIA (and ideally SNOWBALL too!) ⏱️ Applications typically processed within 1–2 days if references are reachable TANIA and SNOWBALL have formed a close bond and help each other build confidence. We strongly encourage adopting both together to provide them the loving home they need. Click here to complete the Adoption Questionnaire Want to see more of TANIA?
