Meet GEYRAN! GEYRAN was saved and cared for by Muscat Dog Adoption before being sent with other rescued dogs to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine. They arrived in the US on 28th January 2025 and were transported to the rescue, where they are settling in. Health & Background ✅ Cleared by the US Canine Center for Diseases upon entry into the US ✅ Spayed ✅ Rabies and core vaccines up to date ✅ Heartworm and tick tested negative ✅ On monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped ⚖️ Weighs around 56 pounds Estimated DOB: 2 February 2021 Front leg amputee Mother of BINKY, who has since been adopted GEYRAN’s Personality Can be skittish in the kennels, but once comfortable, is very affectionate and craves human attention Has become more reserved since her son Binky was adopted Loves treats — may try to steal kennel mates' snacks (likely from past survival instincts), but not aggressive Good with other dogs, though can be a little bossy at times ♀️ Despite being a front leg amputee, she is active and fast — check out her videos! ❤️ Desperate for love and affection — just needs time to build confidence with new people What GEYRAN Needs A family that can provide a healthy lifestyle, both mentally and physically Good quality food, toys, and treats Regular veterinary wellness checks ⏳ Patience and understanding as she adjusts and builds trust GEYRAN’s Story Lived on the streets of Oman with her pups for about a year, socializing with kind locals She and her puppies were shot — only her son Binky survived Sustained two gunshot wounds to her leg, leading to amputation ❤️ Despite everything, she remains incredibly happy and social, loving everyone she meets About Wadi Dogs Stray dogs in Oman, often called “Wadi Dogs,” are a unique mix of sighthound breeds, believed to descend from the majestic Saluki and other smaller agile breeds, many resembling whippets. Without rescue, these dogs often face harsh fates such as being shot or hit by vehicles.
