NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 5/17/2025: Basset/Beagle pups - approx DOB 3/22/2025 Anywho: female - 7.4 pounds Anywhere: male - 6.10 pounds Anyhow; male 8.6 pounds Reason for intake: COME ON! Are these not the cutest pups!? These three came to us from animal control. They weren't quite sure of breed, but guessing Basset / Beagle mixes... and we are definitely Basset people here at NR2R! They've received their first round of vaccinations, have been microchipped and are going thru deworming processes. Once they get their second round, we'll send them for spaying and neutering. These pups are so calm and sweet... we just kept giving them big smooches on their noses and we're not sure who loved it more... us or them! Stay tuned for more information on these sweethearts! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link: https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
