NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 9/12/2025: Bubby - male - approx 9 years old - 6.14 pounds - Chihuahua/ Papillon mix Reason for intake: We were reached out to by someone that knew someone that had been incarcerated. His house had no electricity or water and the dogs were put outside. There were three dogs. One large dog (they are working on finding a place for him)... a Pug (that disappeared from the property) and little Bubby. The owner gave permission to his sister to go on the property and retrieve Little Bubby. Bubby has bad teeth, missing and thinning hair all over his little body, goopy eyes, overgrown nails, etc. We took him in and let him decompress for a little bit in a kennel. When we went back to get him for the intake process, he made sure to warn us he was not happy. So, Ninna slip-leashed him and carried him around for a little while. As she carried him, she gave him some chicken so he would calm down and stop shaking. He was literally vibrating. When he calmed down, Ninna handed him off to Lola to hold so Ninna start the intake process... and that's where Ninna snapped the picture of him looking at her like "who are you!?" LOL! Once we did all the intake procedures, we put him back in his comfy, clean kennel with a bowl of Farmer's Dog food... topped it off with more chicken... and that boy was a happy camper! Bubby will be heading to the vet the week of 9/15/2025 for neutering (sorry, those dangly things got to go!)... and everything else he needs, including a dental! Stay tuned! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
