New Rattitude, Inc.

New Rattitude is a national, all-volunteer non-profit rescue/adoption agency whose mission is to rescue Rat Terriers (and mixes that are predominantly Rat Terrier) from imminent death at animal shelters, the streets, abusive/neglectful homes, or from owners who can no longer keep a dog, and to rehome the dogs into new and permanent, screened and approved adoptive homes. Each dog rescued is cared for in a safe and nurturing foster care environment where he or she receives appropriate medical care, a high quality diet, training and socialization. To achieve these ends, the organization is involved with transportation, volunteer recruiting and training, mentoring, fund-raising, and establishing and maintaining other programs deemed helpful to achieving the mission of rescuing and re-homing Rat Terriers.

Meet Gloria (LA)

Yep, Gloria is giving all you people the stink eye. Why? She thinks nobody wants her because she happens to be 18 years old. But Gloria figures if senior citizens aren't too old to run for President, then they're not too old to be adopted. Sure, the vision and hearing aren't quite what they used to be, but she sees well enough to find a sunny spot in which to bask and to do a happy dance when you bring out the leash, meaning it's time for a walk. Plus, your fingers will love getting lost in her silky soft fur, and your lap will appreciate that she maintains a fit weight of 11lbs. by eating her prescription kidney diet food. She also takes arthritis medication daily to help guarantee that she'll continue enjoying those walks and the occasional car ride to nowhere in particular that she loves so much. Together both prescriptions cost about $50/month, and when you see how much she enjoy's life's small pleasures, you'll know it's worth every penny.   Gloria is reliably house-trained as long as you can take her out when she needs to go, a need which may occur in the middle of the night. Let's get rid of Gloria's stink-eye, and get this gal adopted. See more photos of Gloria at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/goldiegloria .   NOTE: Adopters should live close enough to Denham Springs, Louisiana, to make multiple visits in order to ease the transition to a new home.
