NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NEW INTAKE 6/28/2025: Luann - female - approx 9 years old - 10.2 pounds - Chihuahua Reason for intake: Luann came in with Suann. The sister of the owner contacted us that these girls needed help desperately. They had lost much of their hair and their skin is red and inflamed due to years of fleas, scratching and skin infections. Luann's skin is like leather and we're not even sure some areas will grow back. They both immediately got a capstar and then baths before we even began to check them in. We were told that neither have ever been to a vet. These sweet girls now have a chance at a new life, free of fleas and discomfort. Please no negative comments. We were told that their former owner couldn't really take care of herself, much less any pets. Both are heading to the vet the week of 6/30/2025 for everything they need, included a much-needed dental! NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS: Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed. Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining. In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason. We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption. In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered. Please note… we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption. Please wait until the dog is available for adoption. Adoption Process
On-line adoption application required. If approved and at adoption we require adoption agreement, spay/neuter contract for puppies/kittens - adoption fees vary from $85 for felines and $150-$250 for dogs (varying depending on age, health, behavior, etc.) Adopters must have responsible dog-ownership history and stellar vet reference if applying to adopt a dog and vice versa for cats.
