It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

(Located at our Evansville Rescue Center,This handsome 1-year-old Boxer mix weighs in at 53 lbs and rocks a stunning brindle coat—but let’s be honest, it’s those giant ears that steal the show! Dr. Zuess is a friendly, social pup who has previously lived with dogs, cats, and kids, making him a great fit for many types of families. He’s playful, energetic, and full of charm—but heads up: this boy can jump a 6-foot fence, so he’ll need a secure yard or supervised play.If you're ready for a sweet, springy sidekick with personality for days, apply to meet Dr. Zuess at ITVrescue.org!All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
