Meet Maggie

Stay tuned for pics! Meet Maggie.  Here is a ten year old retired hunting Beagle who now only hunts for a comfortable place to rest and a free hand to offer pets.  She is about 25 pounds but has been working on trimming down  before she auditions to be your new best furry friend.  She walks well on a leash but still has that Beagle instinct to follow interesting smells.  Maggie loves pets and snuggles and gets along well with anyone, especially children.  She is good with other dogs and does not pay attention to cats.    Maggie respects her surroundings and will let you know if she needs to go out.  She is very regular in her duties and does not feel the need often to go out.   She sleeps well in her 'room',  a crate with a bed and a covering for privacy.   Maggie is a joy to foster and will make a senior or senior couple a very good companion enjoying the easy life but ever ready to provide protection for her people.  She does favor an old hunting injury to her left leg but it does not affect her ability to walk and play with her fur buddies.  I have found a mild muscle relaxer works well but she does not require it.
