Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Panda 2025

CUTEST. PANDA. EVER. This absolutely adorable scruffy boy is looking for a home. Little Panda is an 18 month old small mixed breed boy. He has the face of a border terrier and shih tzu coloring but his breed mix is anybody's guess. Panda is about 18 months old and currently 15 pounds. He's a bit too thin, we'd like to see him add a pound or two. Panda came to us from an overcrowded rural shelter. His scruffy coat is a bit sparse, we suspect he had some flea dermatitis but he also has some scarring on his back. We have no clue what may have happened to little Panda to cause the scarring but as his coat fills out it should be less noticeable. Panda is a playful boy with lots of energy but he also loves a good cuddle. Panda's scruffy coat will require regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling great. Panda is new to the rescue but appears to be housebroken and walks well on a leash. If you'd like to meet Panda, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Panda at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
