It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Wembley!This black Labradoodle, born in August 2024, is looking for his forever home! At around 50 lbs, Wembley is the perfect mix of playful and loving. He keeps our staff entertained by playing fetch all by himself (seriously, it’s adorable!) and gives the best hugs.Wembley is great with kids, does well with other dogs, and even passed his cat test like a champ! He’s ready to bring joy, cuddles, and endless fun to the right family.Could Wembley be the missing piece in your home? Come meet him today and see why everyone here is smitten!
