It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Hank Jr

Hank Jr was born with micropthamalia, meaning his eyes are under developed. We will have them assessed by a vet to determine the best course of action. But it is likely that he is completely blind. He is said to be an Aussie/hound mix, born in November 2024. Hank Jr loves people and just lights up when he senses they are near. He also plays well with other dogs and has been around children. He is learning to walk on a leash. Hank Jr is now sniffing out his foever home. Apply at ITVrescue.org available through the Evansville IN location All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
