Meet Peavy

This sweet boy is Peavy! Peavy is young at around 8 months old! He is timid and skittish, so you will have to earn his trust. While we don't require fences for every dog, it is a safety concern for Peavy to not have one, so it will be a requirement. He is coming around to the volunteers at the rescue, and he definitely enjoys the company of other dogs. He would thrive in a quiet home, without small children and with a confident dog or 2 that can help him gain his confidence. Training would be ideal for him as well as a confidence booster.  If you would like to make this boy a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org. This month for dogs 6 months and older, we will reduce adoptions fees to $100. Our Senior sweethearts are $85.

Adoption Process
First, we do ask that an application be filled out on the animal the person is interested in. Once approved, we can set up to meet the animal, which will already be vetted (spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested, etc.). The fee for adoption starts at $125. There is a contract that also needs signed at the time of adoption.
