Meet Pepita

PEPITA is big fun in an adorable little package. She's mixed breed girl, around 1 year old and fully grown at just 27 pounds. Pepita lives to play.  She loves her toys, playing fetch, treats and high speed zoomies. She loves people of all ages and is good with kiddos. She's dog friendly but would also be fine as an only dog. She's much more into people. Pepita is a Heinz 57 Varieties-type mixed breed girl. She appears to be part rat terrier, maybe some border collie, and heaven knows what else. Pepita is an energetic young dog who will need a home with room to run and play and is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard. Pepita is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Pepita, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Pepita at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at Petsmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog’s veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog’s final adoption fee.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
