It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Currently located at our Chrisney, IN location Foster Needed: Meet Pippi Longstocking! Pippi Longstocking is an adorable small terrier mix with a sweet, gentle nature and a heart full of love. She’s looking for a foster home where she can settle in and show just how wonderful she is!Pippi does well with cats and previously lived with a small Chihuahua, so she may be a great fit in a home with other calm, friendly pets. Whether she's cuddled up next to you or quietly exploring her surroundings, Pippi is sure to bring a warm, peaceful energy into your life. Ready to help Pippi on her journey?
