Meet ASHBY

Ashby is a gem of a Dachshund mix boy, and we are pawsitive he’ll make the perfect addition to a loving and caring family.  Ashby is so super-duper smart and such a quick learner.  At just one year old and 16 pounds, he loves to please his humans as well.  He was left abandoned for five days without food and water in an apartment.  Fortunately he was rescued by a very caring neighbor and is now living the good life in his caring foster home.  Believe it or not, Ashby still trusts humans even after all he has been through.  Just looking at him you wouldn't know that his beautiful red coat is soft to the touch and makes him easier to cuddle.  He would love a family to call his own.  This young boy has many more years to grow up with a nicer family.  He is very smart and fun to be around. Ashby would love a fur sibling or two and active humans to love. It is endearing to watch him play with his toys.  He is very careful not to chew them but instead he tosses the toys up in the air and tries to catch them.  Ashby has perfect house manners and is appreciative of any love you give him.  He is an optimistic guy despite being abandoned.  He left those hard feeling behind in the rear view mirror.  This Dachshund mix has been neutered, all vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and is ready for adoption.
