Meet Bella Brownie

Hi!  My name is Bella Brownie and I am a one year old spayed Weimaraner mix weighing approximately 50 lbs.  I am a very sweet, loyal, playful and affectionate.  I am a very loving companion.  I am mostly brown but have a white patch on my chest.  If you look closely, you will see shades of silver across my nose and what about my green eyes....  My fosters think I'm a very, very good looking pup.  I'm crate trained, house broken, good on a leash, good with all ages of people and love playing with other dogs.  I love car rides and settle in my crate quickly.  I love to be around people and I'm great with children.  I'm the perfect pup if you have an active lifestyle.  I'm learning basic commands and am eager to please.  I'm looking for an active home where I can play, take walks, and most of all become a beloved member of your family.  If you're an active family, I'm your girl. 

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
