It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Shrell Shrell has found her way back to us and is now searching for her true forever home. She’s a 5.5-year-old medium terrier mix who is fully vetted and ready to love her new family. Shrell does well with kids and has previously lived with dogs, though she can be dog selective—so a meet and greet will be required if you have other pups at home.
