It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Currently located at our Evansville, IN locationMeet Pretty Ricky! This charming 9-year-old mixed breed weighs in at 65 pounds and is the ultimate couch potato. He thrives on cuddles and loves being close to his people. Pretty Ricky is great with other dogs and currently lives in a foster home alongside another dog and some friendly birds, where he’s doing wonderfully. If you're looking for a loving companion who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, Pretty Ricky might just be the perfect match! Apply to adopt him at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
