It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Coffee Bean

Meet Coffee Bean — “Cece” The perfect blend of cuddly, playful, and sweet Cece is a very friendly, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being held, having her ears and head rubbed, and going for relaxing walks where she can roll in the grass. She’s the best of both worlds — energetic enough to play tug of war or chase, but also laid back and happy to snooze the day away on the couch. This adventurous pup loves exploring trails and finding new places to sniff. She’s mostly potty trained and never has accidents in her kennel, though she’ll still need regular potty breaks to stay on track. Cece isn’t a huge fan of going into her kennel, but with a treat and a gentle nudge she’ll go right in. Right now, she only uses her kennel at night and has been trustworthy with free roam during the day (though a few dino toys have met their end ).Cece is working hard on her manners — learning sit, stay, and not to jump on people. She just gets so excited to meet new friends! Baths and car rides make her a little nervous, but with patience, reassurance, and plenty of head rubs she settles down quickly. She does well with new people and children, though she can be shy at first with men and other dogs. Cece isn’t a big barker (unless she’s talking to her toys!), but she will groan if you’re slow with the treat after she potties. Shoes and kid toys should be kept out of her reach, and she’ll need plenty of dog-safe chew toys to keep her busy — she’s a chewer, but redirects very well.Cece is the total package — sweet, silly, loving, and so deserving of a patient and caring forever home.
