It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Iris – The Lovely Pyrenees Mix! Iris is a stunning 3-year-old Pyrenees mix weighing 75 lbs. She’s a gentle giant with a heart full of love! Iris is known to be good with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful addition to any family.She’s treat motivated and eager to learn, so training will be a fun bonding experience for both of you! Plus, her adoption fee is generously sponsored. Available through Daviess County Apply to adopt at ITVrescue.orgBring Iris home and enjoy a loyal companion by your side!All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
