It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Foster Needed: Meet DuneDune is a male pit mix, born in February 2025, who’s currently facing a tough start to life — but with your help, his story can have a happy chapter.Dune came into our care with a condition called puppy strangles, a rare autoimmune disease that causes facial swelling and skin irritation. While his face may look a little different right now, the condition is not contagious and treatable with proper care and love.What Dune needs most is a calm, safe place to heal — a foster home where he can rest, recover, and feel the kindness of a human hand. He deserves to learn what it means to be cherished.Can you be that soft landing for Dune?Fostering gives him the chance to heal faster and feel loved during recovery. We provide all medical care and supplies — you provide the comfort and compassion.Apply to foster at ITVrescue.org.Let’s show Dune what love looks like. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
