JoJo

Kentucky Kitty Cats, Inc.

We have been doing this for over 8 years and just continue to evolve. Our main goal is to keep cats out of our shelters so they don’t get sick and die or be euthanized. We used to hold kitties till 3-4 months and spay/neuter and send to larger rescues for store adoptions. Many of the cats we get do not do well in the stores or are skittish when we get them. So we began looking for quality homes with experienced cat owners. It seems the more we do, the less the shelters around us do. They closed their doors to intakes back early in March when the virus hit and cats are being thrown everywhere to birth and nurse kittens in the cold outdoors or wherever they can try to find safety. It is heartbreaking. Since so many new fosters have stepped up, we decided now was our time to grow. But my records are a mess. I need desperate help.

Meet JoJo

JoJo is one of those puppies that were not altered and kept with other unaltered male dogs, so the picking began, and he became homeless. He went to a second home that had 4 cats. The cats are not found of him. JoJo barks and lunges, but when the cat slapped him back, he tucked his tail and ran. So while we aren't ruling cats out completely for this 1 year old boy, we want to make sure any potential adopters understand what has been observed before. What we do know is JoJo would absolutely be a perfect therapy type best friend dog for about any age. He has been with kids and adults male and female and has no gender preference for his human. He very snuggly. JoJo also knows basic commands. If you want a new best friend that has a long life in front of him, but you don't want to go thru the messy potty training days, you need to come meet this handsome guy.

Adoption Process
We generally adopt out fully vetted cats and older kittens, but we are attempting some new options. Since the covid we have taken in over 140 felines, and we are not set up for this. We have cats everywhere and lots of new fosters; many of which intend to adopt once cats are spayed/neutered.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
