Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Sniffer 2025

SNIFFER is a beautiful beagle boy whose short life hasn't been great, but now it's time to turn his life around and give hime a wonderful future. He landed in a rural shelter covered in ticks. He wants to seek attention but it's pretty clear he hasn't experienced much human kindness and expects to be hit. He's so gentle and polite, it's hard to imagine how anyone could treat him with such cruelty. Sniffer is still timid but coming around. He's a beagle, so food is his kryptonite. Shiffer does his best to overcome his fear for a tasty treat. He needs a home with a patient adopter who will show him how wonderful good people can be. He must have a home with a friendly, confident dog who will help him navigate his new life. Sniffer is a small beagle, about 2 years old and fully grown at just 23 pounds, although he could stand to gain a pound or two. Standard beagle rules apply, Sniffer needs a home with a physically fenced yard to keep him from following his beagle sniffer into trouble. If you'd like to meet Sniffer, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Sniffer at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.  All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
