Meet Millie
longest shelter resident- needs foster or adopterMillie had an adopter, then they no showed when it was time to pick her up.-Millie has overcame so much in her short life but now she desperately needs out of the shelter ASAP. Hard decisions will have to be made sooner than later, considering her wellbeing in a shelter kennel. -Millie went for a dog day out today, where we got to see her true self outside the stressful kennel environment. She’s gentle with treats, enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash & house trained. She knows how to sit & lay on command. On her weekend trip, Millie showed us she is PROFESSIONAL napper. Her hobbies include lake days, a little swimming, and lap hoping. She wants all the love!-She is dog selective, she doesn’t mind small dogs but would need a meet greet with anything her size or larger. Millie is very cat curious, she needs a home without any feline friends. -She may be picky about her cat and dog siblings, but Millie LOVES humans. She loves kids. She’s gentle and very loyal. -If you are looking for a couch potato, a passenger princess, or just a sweet mini hippo to add to your family, Millie is your girl. Millie is located at Ohio County Animal Shelter.
Adoption Process
We generally adopt out fully vetted cats and older kittens, but we are attempting some new options. Since the covid we have taken in over 140 felines, and we are not set up for this. We have cats everywhere and lots of new fosters; many of which intend to adopt once cats are spayed/neutered.
