Missouri / Kansas Italian Greyhound Rescue operates under Italian Greyhound Rescue Foundation (IGRF) and follows their policies and procedures. IGRF is a national not-for-profit organization with volunteers all across the country. This organization takes in unwanted Italian Greyhounds (IGs) and place them in carefully screened homes where they are appreciated and loved as they deserve. We work in Missouri and Kansas and network with all other states.

Meet Louie

Louie is an 8 month old IG that has lots of love to give! He is shy at first, but once he warms up he loves nothing more than snuggling on a lap. He definitely does not like to be alone and loves the company of other small dogs with which to snuggle and play. He is very smart and has learned the routine in his foster home very quickly! Louie is very good in his crate and has never had an accident in there. He is mostly housetrained and is also good at using potty pads. Louie would love a home with a fenced back yard, as he has a blast zooming around at his foster home. He is still very much a puppy and is working on manners such as walking on a leash, sitting, and only chewing on what he's supposed to. Louie has been neutered, is up-to-date on shots, and has had a heartworm test and is on preventative.

application, reference and vet checks, phone interview, home visit, and $200 adoption fee
