The Animal Rescue Alliance

A non-profit 501C3, all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness.In addition to rescuing pets from difficult situations, we offer courtesy listings in Pet Finder, facilitate low-cost spays and neuterings, work on transfers and transports with existing rescue groups, help individuals and organizations promote, screen and educate potential adopters, fund raise to help pets with special needs, offer guidance and information about animal rescue, organize events, etc.

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Atlas and his four siblings (Agnes, Ace, Amari, Aspen) were abandoned outside a shelter so we don't know any details about the parents. Breed is a total guess and their adult weight is also a guess based on these large paws! Atlas is an adventurer, bold, curious and wants all the human attention! He is sweet, smart and figures things out quickly. He's the first one out the door and the first one in following wherever the human goes! He loves being entertained with his siblings but can also explore on his own. He is in training for being the best companion and housemate! Neuter date July 18. More photos to come soon! Approximate Birthdate:  4/27/2025 Adoption Fee: $250 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Adoption Process
Those interested in adopting must fill out an online application, we then schedule an initial meeting with them and the animal, followed by a home visit. An adoption contract is required and the adoption fees range from $65 to $250.
