The Animal Rescue Alliance

A non-profit 501C3, all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness. In addition to rescuing pets from difficult situations, we offer courtesy listings in Pet Finder, facilitate low-cost spays and neuterings, work on transfers and transports with existing rescue groups, help individuals and organizations promote, screen and educate potential adopters, fund raise to help pets with special needs, offer guidance and information about animal rescue, organize events, etc.

Meet Kobey

Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Are you looking for a best buddy? A friend for life? A special side-kick?  If so, I am probably your guy! My name is Kobey and I'm a 5 month old purebred beagle.  I was originally purchased from a breeder by people with good intentions but when their situation changed, no one was in a position to care for me. But, it's okay my foster mom stepped in and offered to care for me and help me find the best forever home.  Maybe you are that place. I am the happiest boy and show my excitement for life and seeing people by giving you all of my waggy wiggles! I am a lover boy and do enjoy a good snuggle and cuddle. However, I am a beagle and I do love to run and sniff, and play, and sniff.  I really need a good fenced-in yard where I have room to safely run and sniff to my heart's content. If you have another doggie friend for me to run and wrestle with, I'd love that too. In my old home, there was a cat and I really loved chasing that cat. I wasn't mean, it just smelled so nice and I really just wanted it to play with me- it didn't really like this plan though. So, if your home has other four legged friends, I would really do best if they were willing to play with me.  I am doing well with housetraining, and crate training. I've even learned to sit, but I have a hard time staying there for very long (I just get too excited to stay still- it's those waggy wiggles!). One last thing- I have recently found my big boy beagle bark. I don't use it a lot (mostly when I'm playing), but I am a beagle and beagle's are going to talk to you about it.    If you are looking for the bestest buddy and want a lifelong companion who loves sniffing and playing- I bet I'm your guy! Approximate Birthdate:  Nov 15, 2024 Adoption Fee: $300 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.     For more information please fill out an application.     CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: [email protected]
