Meet Carmel

We are an all volunteer/foster home based rescue. Please fill out the online adoption application by clicking on Adoption Info under the Navigation bar on the left side of the page. Fill out the online form by clicking on the picture of the computer screen with our logo on it.   I am super sweet don't you just want to eat me up?  I love to play with the other pups and I love my snuggle time with my foster mom too. I am the total package. I do need a fenced yard and I need to be adopted in locally until I am neutered at 5 1/2 - 6 months of age at All City Pet Care East. I am scheduled for neuter May 6th. If not adopted locally once I am neutered DDR will process out of town/out of state applications in order received. Carmel is about 4 months old and weigh about 10.4 pounds. My adoption fee is $600 plus tax of $27 for a total of $627.  My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter.

Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
