I follow my foster mom all over. I am potty trained and have no problem hanging out in an expen when my foster mom is gone. I am kind of a picky eater but as long as you sit and watch me eat I will eat my kibble. I have had all my vetting done and ready for my furever home! I have a lot of energy and love to run, a fenced yard is a must for me. I am 2 yrs going on 3 yrs old, I weigh 27 pounds, my adoption fee is $350 plus sales tax $15.75= $365.75 Hi! I'm Puppy. I came to Dakota Dachshund Rescue because my owner passed away so I needed a new home. This is a big change for me so I need a little adjustment time to settle in and show my true personality. In the meantime I have to go in for a dental. My foster mom will update my bio soon. My adoption fee helps cover all of my vetting needs such as HW test, rabies, DHPPL, Bordetella, neuter, dental if needed and microchipping.
Adoption Process
Usually we are contacted by a SD shelter about a dachshund that is not doing well (nipping etc.) and that they are going to be put down. We take them in get them vetted and then place them up for adoption after they have been evaluated. We also take calls from folks who have called their local shelter about there dachshund that may have started nipping at small children etc and are told the dog would be put down. We also take calls from other rescues about breeder dogs.
