Meet Casper

Hi! I'm Casper!! Aren't I the cutest boy??? I found my way to Iowa after spending years as a breeder boy in Oklahoma. The dogtor thinks I am likely around 6 years old, but I have lots of things to learn about being a dog. In my foster home, I have other dogs to help me learn. I especially like the ones that are my size, and I'm a whopping 11 lbs!!! I think I'd like a fur friend in my new home to help me learn, but as long as I'm loved, and someone can teach me to be the bestest boy I can, then that's ok too. Car rides are a bit scary right now, but I just hunker down in the seat, and know I'm going on a new adventure. I got to go to the pet store and pick out my very own chew treat, which I LOVED! But I don't know much about toys or bones yet. I am good in my kennel at night, and when my foster family is away. But I'd prefer to be a lap buddy 24/7. When I'm not on someone's lap, I follow my person around everywhere, and just wag my tail. My foster mom says I'm doing great with potty training, but I'm picky about finding the perfect spot, so as long as you give me time, I'll try my best! I'm not good with stairs yet, so that's another trick that I'll need to learn. But I promise to give my new family lots of cuddles if they are patient with me as I learn how to be a family pet! I haven't been around kids yet, but I think I'd prefer older kids, or no kids, since I'm scared of new sounds and things that move quickly. I am looking for a retirement home that is calm and predictable. I would do best in a family where someone is home with me most of the time so I can bond and get on a good schedule. Adoption Process
We require an application be completed, do home visits and check references. Have meet and greets with children and other pets. We require animals be returned to us if circumstances change. We require a signed adoption contract. We do not allow our animals to be kept outdoors. $100 Senior Dog (9+ years old) $200 Adult Dog $225 Puppy $30 Senior Cat (10+ years old) $60 Adult Cat $100 Kitten (or 2 for $150) Purebred/Designer dog adoption fees will be determined on case by case basis dependent on finders fees, vetting costs and transporting fees. Each purebreds breed will determine baseline fee.
