Meet Coraline

CORALINE HAS NOT COMPLETED HER VETTING AND WILL NOT BE SPAYED UNTIL LATER IN OCTOBER 2025. APPLICATIONS ARE ONLY BEING ACCEPTED FROM WITHIN A 30 MINUTE RADIUS OF DES MOINES UNTIL AFTER SHE HAS BEEN SPAYED. My name is Coraline, and I'm not just another black dog! If you like action, entertainment and love, then I'm your girl!! I was born in Oklahoma around July 5, 2025, but then dumped in a shelter. I came to Iowa in early September, and I have to say, I love living inside with my people, and am enjoying all the comforts of a home, including my own comfy dog bed! But my foster momma says my new home probably shouldn't have shared walls (no apartment, townhouse or condo) 'cuz the neighbors probably won't enjoy my amazing "singing". And little kids? Well I think I would love them, but I'm told I have baby shark teeth, and I have to taste test everything, so probably no little kids for me right now, until I learn not everything goes in my mouth! I love ALL toys, but favorite toy is a giggle ball - or any ball or toy that makes noise. I really like wrestling with my foster fur siblings, and I think I'd like one in my new furever home that matches my puppy energy! I also think playing in water is fun, so if you want a water-loving girl, that's me! I am working really hard on kennel training. I don't love it....I really want to be with my people instead, but I'm getting better, and I sleep all night long in it and while my foster momma works. My new family will need patience with me, as I'm just a puppy and I need reassurance that my family will come back for me and love me unconditionally. I'm doing really good with potty training, and I let my foster mom know when I need to go outside. Speaking of outside, I love to play outside! So I'd love a new home with a fenced backyard! I love to run in the grass, and do a good splat when it's time to cool my belly down. Once I get some energy out, I enjoy ear massages, neck scratches, belly rubs and a lap to nap on. At 8 weeks old, I'm a whopping 13 lbs, so perfect lap size....for now! But I'm a growing girl, and will likely be a large dog once I'm all grown up! Do you have the perfect home for me? If you are interested in meeting Coraline, please complete an online application at  https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
