Meet Crayon

Hi I'm Crayon! Like my name suggests, I have a beautiful unique look! If you were coloring me with Crayolas, I would suggest a combo of Chestnut, Tumbleweed, and Burnt Sienna for my tan furs with red for my dark highlights, and Gold for my beautiful, striking eyes! But I am more than just good looks! I'm a sweet, silly, and sensitive soul. I can be shy and skittish and need a gentle, patient owner who will take the time to bond with me. I just turned one year old so I'm past the difficult puppy months but still a playful, energetic youngster! I'm a vocal boy with a big bark! I won't use it all day for no reason, but I will definitely let you know if someone comes in the house. I also love to howl along with sirens when I hear them. I will tell you my thoughts and needs with a quieter whine. I do great in a kennel and I stay in a bedroom all day currently while my person is at work. I am not destructive other than cardboard boxes that I'm allowed to shred! I love toys of all kinds. Another thing I love is running! I have gone to a dog park where I've done great with dogs my size. I need a secure yard or a leash because I can scale a chainlink fence to take myself running. I know it's dangerous but the temptation is so great ... thankfully I have always returned on my own so far. Have you been coloring inside the lines too long? Adoption Process
Our Adoption Process After you submit your adoption application, via our website, http://TaysiaBlue.com, a Taysia Blue volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days. We are most interested in which type dog will be a good fit for you and your family and the other pets in your home. We will also contact you by phone to learn more about the dog you're looking for and to review the current available dogs in our rescue. We will schedule an appointment for you to meet the dog(s). If a match is made, we can complete the adoption process at that time. If we don't find the perfect match, we'll keep trying till we do! We hope that your home is the very last stop on the dog's journey and we do all we can to help you and your dog make the transition easier, including providing you with an information packet loaded with tips and resources. Our quality standard vet care is as follows: • Spay/Neuter - All dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. • Heartworm Test - If the heartworm test is negative, the dog is placed on regular heartworm preventative. If the heartworm test is positive, the dog is treated to eradicate the heartworms and then placed on regular heartworm preventative. • Rabies vaccination • DHP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo) vaccination • Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination • Flea and tick preventative • Microchip Our adoption donation requirements are as follows: • Puppies 6 months of age or younger require a donation of $350. • Dogs over 6 months and under 8 years old require a donation of $300. • Dogs 8 years and older require a donation of $250.
