Jerzy is a beautiful brindle and white female, guessed to be 4-5 years old. She is a perfect medium sized dog with some delicate features in her sweet face and thin legs, and weighs just around 45 pounds. Jerzy can be slow to warm up to new people, but your patience will be rewarded by this lovable and goofy girl once she starts to show you her true personality! Jerzy is very fearful of men, and although we don't know her past we can assume from her reaction that someone was rough with her at some point in her early years. Jerzy would love a home with a female owner, and no children under 14. Jerzy will be best suited with no kitties, an owner that will love to walk and exercise her daily, and possibly an easy-going, playful medium sized male dog! A secure yard would be an added bonus for Jerzy as well! Jerzy's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company in Hiawatha. If you would like to meet Jerzy, please submit an adoption application through our website for consideration, www.Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that potential adopters with a history of owning animals demonstrate that they have kept them altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on annual vaccinations/testing. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
