Daisy is quite a special lady - and we can't wait to help her find her forever family. She came into a small city pound (in Bethany, Missouri) as a stray several months ago and when nobody came to claim her, she luckily had several people caring and advocating for her. Some rescue friends from Fur Fun Rescue here in Eastern Iowa were providing care for Daisy while she was in the pound and then they asked Safe Haven to take her in. We are so happy to announce that on Saturday, May 10th she busted out of that pound, and joined our family of pets here at Safe Haven. She will be spayed on Wednesday, May 14th and ready for adoption a few days later! While in Bethany, Daisy did make several canine friends with other friendly dogs closer to her size - so with proper introduction we feel like she will be fine in a home with another easy going dog. We are not quite sure of her exact age or what she is a mix of, but the vet's best guess was a 2 year old Lab mix.....with those awesome ears we wonder if she doesn't have a little Shepherd or Pitty/ Terrier or Great Dane or Husky mixed in?? However at this rate it really is anyone's guess - and whatever she is, we think she is just perfectly Daisy! Interested in adopting this pet?
