Meet Sophie

Introducing Sophie! This little lady is a very quiet girl who will follow you around all day... or lounge around on a pillow next to your chair if you're just hanging out or watching TV. Sophie isn't a huge cuddler, but just wants to be near you all the time. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home but would also be a great companion on her own as well. She is very inquisitive and has a little anxiety which keeps her moving around, especially when her foster mom is out of sight. And, she is not a fan of loud noises as they make her nervous. Due to her anxiety, Sophie does take a daily medication to manage it. Additionally, she does have some allergies and is on a monthly allergy shot which helps tremendously. If you have a quiet household and want a dog to be your best pal, Sophie is your girl! Sophie gets to have run of the house (even when her foster mom is not home) and is good at using a potty pad if needed. When she is having a really anxious day, it is best to crate her when leaving. She sleeps through the night in bed but would also be okay on her own doggie bed next to you.  Sophie's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives. She is seeking an indoor only home with adopters who have a history of keeping their pets as indoor animals, altered, and current on annual vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit. The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies. Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue. The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
