Nellie is a spayed female chihuahua, estimated to be around 7 years old. Nellie is looking for a chihuahua savvy owner who understands that she needs a little time to warm up to strangers. Nellie prefers her space, so she is not a match for a home with children, but once you have taken the time to let her settle in at her own pace she makes a terrific companion! Nellie will need a home with a securely fenced in yard, she has happily cohabitated with other dogs in her foster home but has not yet met cats. Nellie came to rescue as a part of a group of dogs that appear to have been mostly left outside by their previous owner. She has moved into a foster home where we have worked with her on potty training, meeting new people and learning to enjoy being a pampered pooch! Nellie's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventatives. Nellie is seeking an indoor only home with a secure fence. If you would like to meet her, please submit an adoption application for consideration at Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters with current/former pets have a history of having had them altered, kept current on vaccines and preventatives and kept as indoor pets only. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
