Meet Dodger

Meet Dodger! This very sharp little guy came to us as his family knew he deserved more. He has lived his life outside, and has been known to wander to & from in the countryside. He has quickly become very appreciative of the indoor lifestyle - clean and dry bedding, lots of attention from volunteers, several great daily walks outdoors, and most importantly ALL of the toys and treats he could ever ask for! Safe Haven staff and volunteers have learned very quickly that Dodger is a real sweetheart. He thoroughly loves ALL of the attention and gives sooo many sloppy kisses in return! Since Dodger has never lived indoors, he will need a home that is ready to work on basic housetraining and help him get started on the right foot with a routine. He has been doing well with keeping his kennel space clean, but working on a routine for him will be an important part of his future. The owner's told us that Dodger got along well with their neighbor dog - he has not shown any reactivity towards other dogs since being in our care. An initial meet & greet with any future dogs he may have in his new forever home would be important to ensure proper introductions take place. It is unknown whether or not Dodger would get along with cats. Dodger has been brought up-to-date on his vaccinations, tested negative for Heartworm, he was previously neutered, he has had a microchip implanted for identification purposes, and has been started on monthly flea/tick & Heartworm preventatives. Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out an application and be approved. Appointment is made to meet/pick up the pet. Adoption fee is returned if the adopter notifies us the adoption in not working and returns the pet within two weeks.
