Stevie is a sweet girl looking for her forever home. She can be a little bit anxious at first, but once she gets some one-on-one time she is an affectionate lady. Having once lived with children, Stevie loves people of all ages and would make for a wonderful family companion in the right home. Stevie has done well during interactions with male dogs and doesn't let their rowdiness faze her but isn't too fond of female dogs. She enjoys cooling off in the pool, chewing on her Nyla bones, and will sometimes toss toys around in her kennel when she is feeling playful. Stevie is very food motivated and would love a home that can help her feel safe and that it's ok to come out of her shell. With some time, her gentle, loving personality will blossom. Stevie's adoption fee is $250 and includes her spay, microchip, current vaccinations and preventatives, plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run #2 in Hiawatha. Stevie is seeking an indoor only home. Last Hope requires that all adopters have a history of having kept their pets altered, current on vaccinations and preventatives, and kept as indoor only pets. Our adoption process includes a background check, vet history check, and a home visit. If you would like to meet Stevie, please fill out an adoption application on our website, Adopthope.org
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
