Meet Grizzly

Grizzly is one very special dog - that was deeply loved by his owner.  Sadly due to some major life changes, the owner made the very hard decision to surrender Grizzly to Safe Haven and entrust us with finding him a new forever home.  Grizzly is a 4&1/2 year old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix  - and his owner had raised him from a young puppy.  Grizzly seems to really enjoy his walks and playing in our play yards.  He can be a little protective of his people that he has bonded with, but overall has made many new friends with all the different volunteers at Safe Haven. Grizzly's favorite things to do include running around the yard playing, chasing balls, etc  - and then coming inside and crashing on the couch for a good long nap.  He does a great job of coming up to his owner when they are inside to let him know that he needs to go outside to the bathroom. He is used to being kenneled when home alone, and sleeping in bed with his person when they are both home.  Grizzly does not do well around cats, and doesn't seem to be comfortable around other dogs, so he would likely do best in a home where he can be an only pet.  Grizzly is a very supportive dog that enjoys cuddle time when he is relaxing inside  - at times he can even become a couch potato when he is inside!Interested in adopting this pet?
