Meet Cassie

Meet Cassie!!! She is estimated to be the perfect age of 4 years old, and likely a Shepherd mix....but that is clearly just a guess - what we do know is she is a sweet dog that found herself homeless, sitting in the Cedar Rapids animal shelter - looking for a forever family!  Since the shelter was getting full, Cassie was transferred to Safe Haven.  Cassie absolutely loves her walks, and is an active dog - so a family that is looking for someone to walk or jog with, would be perfect.  She may be a little shy at first in her kennel, and does bark at strangers initially, but warms up quickly. Cassie may be most comfortable in a home with older children only, because she does seem more uneasy/nervous around younger kids and has shown some resource guarding with her toys, etc.  We think she would just thrive in a quieter home, where she can relax and be the great companion that she is longing to be!Interested in adopting this pet? Adoption Process
Adopters must fill out an application and be approved. Appointment is made to meet/pick up the pet. Adoption fee is returned if the adopter notifies us the adoption in not working and returns the pet within two weeks.
