Lincoln was born 12/4/2023, he was one of ten puppies born when his momma was is need of an emergency c-section. Lincoln has blended in with the 4 dogs in his foster home very well. Food motivated and knows sit, working on “kennel up”. Loves people and animals of all ages! Lincoln would need to avoid cats in a home or have a cat that does not mind his very piqued curiosity. He loves being outdoors and will thrive with a fenced in yard. He is quite independent but does love playing with his housemates. He could be an only dog if his owners were active with him. Lincoln loves a good squeaky toy or nylabone! The adoption fee for Lincoln is $300 and includes his distemper, bordetella and rabies vaccines, multiple rounds of dewormer and a microchip. Included in the adoption fee for each puppy is a free beginner training class at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha! Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any current/former pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on all vaccines and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit. Please submit an adoption application today through our website, Adopthope.org!
Adoption Process
Prior to adoption, all of our dogs have been tested for heartworm, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. Our adoption process includes reference and background checks, a vet check and home visit.
The adoption fee for dogs and puppies varies.
Prior to adoption, our cats have been tested for feline leukemia, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and spayed or neutered, if age appropriate. If at the time of adoption, the kitten is too young to be spayed or neutered, an agreed upon time frame will be set for when this procedure is to be done. Spaying or neutering is not an optional procedure, it is required of all animals we rescue.
The adoption fee for cats and kittens varies.
