Meet Jade

Jade is a gorgeous Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix girl; approximately 5-months old and weighing in most recently at about 40 pounds. One look into her eyes and you are convinced she only has eyes for you.   Jade has lots of energy, but can be a bit stubborn, and loves to play with her foster brothers & sisters in her foster home.  She is never to be found too far away from her human or foster mates and would do well in a home that has another dog willing to put up with her puppy-ness. She loves to play outside in the sunshine (and the rain!) and is an expert at emptying the toy box of each and every toy to find the best one! She is a chatty girl letting you know when she's happy or impatiently waiting for you to figure out what she wants/needs. She is kenneled for up to four hours a couple of days a week and does well after some initial grumbling!  She is allowed to sleep in bed with her foster mom, and is most often found laying full out next to her on the bed.  She is loving, but is not a velco pup and can play happily on her own.  She is diligently working on house-training; however she will require continued encouragement with her training as she is normally too involved being in the middle of things to be bothered with letting you know she needs a potty break. If you are interested in meeting Jade, please complete an online application at https://hopeanimalrescueofiowa.duplie.com/forms/196/dog-application Adoption fee is $300 which includes spay/neuter, microchip, and age appropriate vaccines.
