Meet Davis 2025

DAVIS is a fun beagle mix puppy with an unruly left ear. He is a good-natured boy who lives for fun, loves to play and will sit in front of you for an hour with a big smile on his face if he thinks it will earn him a treat. And look at that face! No, we did not use an airbrush effect on his photos, his coloring is simply stunning. Davis is definitely a beagle mix but the rest of his makeup has us stumped. He's beagle sized but with longish legs. He's about 8 months old and just 26 pounds. Davis is fully grown but could stand to add a couple of pounds to his frame. This beautiful boy was malnourished for some part of his short life, but his body is actually good now, but his paws still show the effects of malnutrition but that will improve with continued good nutrition. Davis is very puppyish and needs some work on his manners. He takes correction well and is very food motivated so he should be fun to train. Davis is good with other dogs. If you'd like to meet this delightful pup, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Davis at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.   Our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
