Meet Sydney

Sydney is a 1 year old, already spayed, fully vetted Australian Shepherd mix. She is a very sweet girl, loves people. She is also housetrained and doesn't require to be crated. So overall is the perfect dog, downfall she was on a home trial for two weeks everything was great until one night Sydney was sleeping in the three year old child’s bed, while the child was sleeping with the mother. At some point the child woke up and went to get into her bed, it’s then believed in doing so she startled Sydney, and it ended in a bite to the child's face. The bite is not bad, and the mother stated she didn't see it happen and that Sydney seemed concerned when the child was crying but never snapped at her again. Unfortunately, the family decided to return her over the situation. There was a bite report filed.She knows "sit", "paw", and is working on other commands. She likes giving kisses to humans and doesn't mind her nails being done. If you have the perfect home for Sydney, send in an application and we will be in touch! CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies. All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on all age appropriate vaccinations & preventatives, as well as microchipped & altered.  CARE is all-volunteer & foster-based rescue organization.
