Cutie Rudy is a 2.5 month old Great Pyrenees mix weighing 21lbs and growing fast! He’s a playful, social pup with a big personality and an even bigger love for his tennis ball - fetch is his favorite game. Rudy gets along great with other dogs and would love a canine companion in his new home. He’s smart, eager to learn, and full of affection. Rudy is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home is best. If you're looking for a fun, loyal pup to grow up with your family, Rudy might be your perfect match!
Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
