Community Animal Rescue Effort (CARE)

C.A.R.E. is a non-profit, all volunteer and foster-based animal rescue located in Columbus, Indiana working to promote animal welfare through community awareness, education and responsible pet adoptions. We promote spaying and neutering as the way to relieve the number of animals entering our local shelters.. We work with local shelters to help with overpopulation and to increase the number of adoptions.

Meet Perseus

Perseus and his littermates were born into the shelter environment and came into their foster home at 2 months. Perseus and his brothers are almost 4 months now (DOB 9/17) and still in search of their forever families.  Perseus mom was a medium sized Husky and his father is a complete mystery, though we do suspect he was a lab mix. They are expected to be medium to large size fully grown.  Perseus has finished all round of his puppy vaccines. He is neutered, microchipped and current on preventatives. Perseus is working on crate and potty training he is a sweet and happy boy who can't wait to make your family complete. Perseus has been socalized with a variety of different dogs of varying energy levels.
