Community Animal Rescue Effort (CARE)

C.A.R.E. is a non-profit, all volunteer and foster-based animal rescue located in Columbus, Indiana working to promote animal welfare through community awareness, education and responsible pet adoptions. We promote spaying and neutering as the way to relieve the number of animals entering our local shelters.. We work with local shelters to help with overpopulation and to increase the number of adoptions.

Meet Canis

Canis and his littermates were born into the shelter environment and came into their foster home at 2 months. Canis is still in search of his forever family. Canis' mom was a medium sized Husky. Based on one of his siblings DNA results he is also a lab! He is microchipped, neutered, and current on preventatives. He is working on crate and potty training he is a sweet and happy boy who can't wait to make your family complete. Canis would do best in a home with no other pets.Visit care.rescuegroups.org to view his whole profile and fill out an application.
