Meet Macie

Update: Macie is searching for a forever home. She landed herself in a local overcrowded shelter where she was completely shut down and unsure of the world. While we don't know her past, we know it was certainly not one of love and kindness. All that has changed now. Macie is working on gaining confidence in her foster home. She is learning how to bond with people and dog friends. She gets excited when she sees other dogs. She is learning what a loving home really is. She loves her toys and enjoys romping in the yard with dog friends. Does well on a leash but isn't super excited about walks. Very food motivated. Quick movement can startle her. She is looking for a calm, forever home that will give her space and time to decompress and learn her routine. A home with children 12 and older would be recommended. While she is in a foster home with 2 children and doing great with them, it is possible for them to make her more nervous if they aren't able to give her a calm, safe place. She has lots of love to give and is cautious of new people but incredibly sweet when she warms up to you. She likes to be wherever you are and observe what you're doing. At the time of adoption, Macie will be spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on monthly preventatives.
