Meet Jake

Jake has been with us for about 2 weeks now!  He was up for a part in a movie, but came in second!  Darn! He is so cute and trainable!  He would have been a STAR for sure! Now that he won't be moving to Hollywood, he would love to be the star in his forever home!  Jake has been neutered, so that is out of the way! We estimate he is between 1-2 years old. He is just the right size (approx. 15lbs) for lap sitting at night! Jake was pretty matted up when he arrived, but one of our awesome volunteers groomed him and worked on getting all the mats taken care of!  We couldn't have him auditioning for a move with a shaved body! LOL! So, he will need to be brushed regularly and have grooming appointments. Jake gets a long well with our 3 dogs ( 1 large dog M, 1 med dog M, 1 small dog F).  He does like to have your full attention and tends to gently try and keep himself between his people and the other dogs. My dogs tend to ignore this! No aggression what so ever! Likes to be where his people are for sure!  Jake does like to chase rabbits and squirrels and I would recommend a fenced yard for him!  He tends to let his nose take him on adventures.  We have a partial fence, so I take him out on a leash.   At night, Jake sleeps in his crate with no problems!  He seems to be potty trained, but I have not figured out his ques yet!  I just take him out with my dogs every couple hours and that seems to work! He is good with our grandchildren, but I always am vigilant and keep a close eye on any dog that is interacting with them, even my own dogs!  Jake is a very sweet boy and deserves a home that gives him a space to run and a loving family! If you would like to adopt Jake, please fill out an application at : https://care.rescuegroups.org If your application is selected, an inquiry will be made to your vet and verify you are in good standing with any current or past pets in the way of yearly vaccinations and preventatives.
