S.A.D. is an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit organization located in Starke County, Indiana. We are a private rescue and do not receive funds from the County. We are a foster-based rescue with a mission to serve the homeless dogs by fostering and supporting healthy, positive relationships between people and companion animals. S.A.D. rehomes companion pets into safe, healthy, lifelong homes; serves as an educational and counseling resource; and works to reduce pet overpopulation. We do it because every dog deserves a home

Meet Veto

Veto is an Aussie-Goldendoodle puppy that was born on 2/11/25.  Mom is a Goldendoodle 50lbs and Dad is an Aussie Shepherd 45lbs.  He was a breeder transfer.  Please make sure to watch the video, as puppies do not take the best photos. Veto is around 12 lbs right now. He is a very sociable, lovable puppy. Keep in mind that just because he is small now, it doesn't mean he will be small as an adult. He has standard-sized parents, and he can have a growth spurt. Veto has soft fur with a slight wave. However, this is his puppy coat. As they mature, they will go through a shedding phase where their puppy coat is replaced by their adult coat. Adult coats can vary significantly in texture and may become wavy, curly, or straight, depending on the geneticsWe require a fenced-in yard (no invisible fences), someone who is home more and has the time to care for a puppy. We do not adopt puppies to families with kids under the age of 8.  Puppies are up to date on vaccinations, deworming, and microchipped. Veto will not be neutered before adoption. Adopter will sign a spay/neuter agreement and place a $75.00 deposit which is refundable. Please put in an application on our website, www.indianasaveadog.com. Please do not email us. If a puppy is listed on our website, it is still available. You can place a $50 deposit to hold a puppy after your application is approved.
